Chelsea vs Luton Town match will happen on 25th August 2023 at Stamford Bridge. This is the third match in EPL this season, although Luton’s second match was postponed so that Kenilworth Road undergoes a significant makeover to comply with Premier League requirements.

After drawing 1-1 with Liverpool and an away loss to West Ham last Sunday, the blues will meet with Luton. Head coach Mauricio Pochettino believes that his team will smash the newly promoted Luton town come Friday night at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea’s clash with Luton Town on Friday would see up to eight men not in the match for various reasons. Carney Chukwuemeka who scored the single goal against West ham last weekend won’t play because of a knee injury. 

Wesley Fotana and Christopher Nkunku suffer knee injuries. Reece James has a hamstring problem and Trevoh Chalobah has thigh injury and wouldn’t be in the match.

Luton Town lost to Brighton in their first match 4-1. Last week,Luton town took a break to recuperate and prepare well. This resulted from the postponed second match against Burnely. This Friday, as they visit Chelsea, they will put their efforts to secure their first ever EPL points. They’re also seeking first ever victory against the host since a 2-0 success that happened back in 1991. Since then, Chelsea have won against Luton in their recent encounters including a 3-2 win in the FA cup in March 2022.

This Summer, Rob Edwards made about 10 signings and he is likely to make few changes in the match if any.
